Dr. Domingo de Jesús Cortés Rodríguez

El Doctor Domingo de Jesús Cortés Rodríguez es Ingeniero en Comunicaciones y Electrónica egresado de la Escuela Superior de Ingeniería Mecánica y Eléctrica del Instituto Politécnico Nacional. Cursó la maestría en ciencias con especialidad en control automático en el Departamento de Ingeniería Eléctrica del CINVESTAV y obtuvo el grado de doctor en ciencias con especialidad en Física Aplicada en el Centro de Investigación Científica y de Educación Superior de Ensenada Baja California.

Vida académica

Trabajó de tiempo completo en el Centro de Investigación y Desarrollo Tecnológico del Tecnológico Nacional de México. Fue Auxiliar de Investigación del CINVESTAV. Dentro del Instituto Politécnico Nacional fue profesor de las primeras dos generaciones de la Escuela Superior de Cómputo y de la Unidad Profesional Interdisciplinaria de Ingeniería y Tecnologías Avanzadas. Fue Jefe de la Unidad de Investigación en Ingeniería de Cómputo en el Centro de Investigación y Computación. Desde 2010 se desempeña como Profesor de la Sección de Estudios de Posgrado e Investigación de la ESIME Culhuacan.

Formación de recursos humanos

Ha dirigido mas de 10 maestros en ciencias y doctores en las áreas de:

  - Control de sistemas no lineales
  - Control de sistemas electrónicos de potencia
  - Control de máquinas eléctricas

Lineas de investigación

Las líneas de investigación del Dr. Cortés han sido el Control de sistemas no lineales, Control de sistemas electrónicos de potencia, Control de máquinas eléctricas y actualmente se dedica a la aplicación de técnicas de la inteligencia artificial a control de sistemas dinámicos.

Dentro de estas líneas de investigación se han publicado artículos y construido prototipos; algunas de las ideas de estos prototipos han llevado al registro de patentes.
